Oak Park, Illinois - November 10, 2008 - Wonder Works, a Children's Museum in Oak Park, kicks off its Sunday Concert Series with a live performance by Jim Gill on Sunday, November 16 at 4 pm. The museum will close at 3:30 pm on this day to non-ticket holders and remain open for concertgoers.

This year's concert series will be underwritten by Mattel Inc. on behalf of Eugene P. Beard and the Nancy Jones Beard Foundation. "This grant is a tremendous boost to Wonder Works in so many ways and will not only enhance the concert series but will give kids and their families greater opportunities to learn to use their creativity," says board president John Harris.

Kicking of the concert series, Jim Gill is a child development specialist by training with a Master's Degree from the Erikson Institute for Advanced Studies in Child Development. During the week he leads programs in music and supported play for families with young children with special needs. Most of the games included on Jim's recordings are a product of this work, which he has been involved in since 1984. Jim's latest recording Moving Rhymes for Modern Times was recently honored by the American Library Association as a 2007 Notable Children's Recording.

Tickets are $6 for members, $9 for non-members and free for children under age one.
