On July 13 and 14, from 9 am to 1 pm, Wonder Works Children’s Museum will host our third annual outdoor festival to celebrate the magic and science of bubbles. For two days, children and their families can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities involving bubbles in all shapes and sizes.

Tickets for Bubble Festival 2024 will be $5 for members (including CLIMB members from all Chicago area children’s museums), $15 for non-members, and $3 for individual with a LINK or EBT card who qualify for Museums for All. Bubble Festival Outdoor Event admission does not include admission to Wonder Works Children’s Museum.

Each Bubble Festival ticket has an entry window of one hour. Once you enter the Bubble Festival within your entry window, you can stay as long as you want!

Our 9 am and 10 am sessions on Saturday is now full but we still have space in the 11 am session on Saturday and all three sessions on Sunday.

The Bubble Festival is messy fun! We suggest bringing a towel and a change of clothes for your child. Swim goggles are also recommended for playing in the foam pit.

The Bubble Festival activities will include:

Performances by Glowby the Bubbler at 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, and 12 pm both days,
Giant foam play pit with a bubble cannon,
Create giant bubbles in our bubble playground,
Building bubble sculptures and bubble chains,
Creating a custom beaded bubble wand,
Mixing your own custom scented and colored bubble solutions,
and using science to create bubbles of different shapes and sizes.

Coffee and Drinks Trucks will be in attendance for both days of the Bubble Festival:
– Saturday: The Boba Truck
– Sunday: Spoke Coffee Cart and Zemi Coffee Cart
