On Sunday, October 6, Wonder Works Children’s Museum offered free admission to all from 9 am to 12 pm. This morning of FREE PLAY was possible thanks to sponsorship by LifeSpeed Behavioral Support Services.

Although museum entry was free for all the morning of October 6, we requested that you pre-register for an entry time in order to manage museum capacity. There were entry windows at 9 am, 10 am, and 11 am. Museum entrances after 12 pm were subject to regular museum admission prices. Anyone who pre-registered for one of the free morning of play sessions was welcome to stay at the museum as long as they liked. 

During the morning, participants in the free morning of play were able to enjoy all of Wonder Works Children’s Museum’s 9 permanent indoor and outdoor exhibits. We also had multiple story times and made adorable mini pinatas in the art room. We loved PLAYING with many new and existing friends during our free morning of play on Sunday, October 6.

LifeSpeed was founded in 2013 with the primary goal of providing effective behavior-based solutions services to adolescents living with developmental and/or cognitive disorders throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Seeing such a dire lack of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) support available for adults placed in residential settings, we then expanded our model of care to include this ever-growing population. In March of 2020, LifeSpeed came full circle across the lifespan and opened an Early Learning Center in downtown Oak Park specifically designed to support children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). After recognizing firsthand that so many children with ASD truly thrive when movement is incorporated into therapy, the Early Learning Center expanded in late 2023 to a brand new facility in nearby Forest Park with sensory swings, a trampoline, a jungle gym for climbing, and 2,400sqft of play space!
