    8:30am – 10am

  • Join us for a free Parent Education Workshop on the topic of The Normalcy of “No!” from 8:30am – 10am on Sunday, October 18.

Led by Paula L. Ciccarone, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist and Director of Community Parent Support Programs at Smart Love Family Services.

When your toddler says “No,” they aren’t just pushing your buttons—they are hitting a major developmental milestone. Join us to discover what this behavior really means for your child’s emotional growth.

In this class, you will learn how to respond to “No!” in ways that build your child’s self-worth while regulating their behavior. Walk away with practical, stress-free strategies to stop power struggles, de-escalate meltdowns, and bring peace back to your home. Plus, every parent who attends is entered into a free gift card raffle, so you’ll leave with more than just great advice.

Children are welcome! Our museum guides will keep them engaged and playing while the grown-ups dig into the discussion.

This adult education workshop is possible thanks to grants provided by the Community Mental Health Board of Oak Park Township and the Oak Park and River Forest Youth Services Committee.

Registration is requested for this free event.
