Webs of Wonder: All About Spiders with Jasmine from Oak Park Natural Pet and Fish:
10/24, 10/27, 10/31 10:30am – 11:30am
This hands-on program lets young children safely meet a friendly tarantula and other live spiders while learning about their amazing abilities and important role in nature. Kids will discover spider facts through close observation and guided interaction with these fascinating creatures. The experience helps children overcome fears while building appreciation for spiders in a fun, educational setting.

Not So Spooky Animals with Allison Price from the Lincoln Park Zoo
10/26 11am – 11:30am
Put on your detective hat and discover that nature’s most misunderstood creatures are actually amazing helpers in our world! Young scientists will examine real animal skulls, investigate animal droppings to understand ecosystems, and learn about animal special powers. Through hands-on activities children will develop observation skills while learning why these “spooky” animals are truly spectacular.

Sensational Snakes: Live Snake Encounter with Robert Hilger from the Chicago Herpetological Society:

This exciting snake encounter introduces children to two live snakes through safe, supervised interactions that teach about reptile biology and natural behaviors. Young explorers will learn how snakes sense their world, shed their skin, and adapt to different environments while experiencing gentle contact with these remarkable animals.
