Dear Wonder Works friends,

Wonder Works Children’s Museum will be closed for building renovations from Monday, September 2 through Monday, September 30. As we are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we will re-open for play on Thursday, October 3. We hope to PLAY with many of you out in the community while we beautify our indoor and outdoor museum exhibits. When we re-open in October, we look forward to dazzling all of our visitors with:

• A whimsical and beautiful North Avenue mural, made possible by a grant from the Oak Park Arts Area Council and the North Avenue District, Inc. 
• Walls tuckpointed by Oak Roofing & Tuckpointing thanks to the Village of Oak Park CFIP grant
• New doors and windows installed by Certified Windows, made possible by a grant from the Village of Oak Park ARPA funds
• A shade structure in our Becky Boyce Outdoor play space
• We will also be cleaning, painting, and refreshing our exhibits to welcome you back to a bright and beautiful Wonder Works Children’s Museum.

All active memberships at Wonder Works Children’s Museum will receive a one month automatic extension on their memberships. 

While the museum is closed, we will be out in the community to continue playing with as many of you as possible! We hope you will join us at the following events in September:

• September 11, 3-7pm – LemonAid Bake Sale and Fundraiser on Bonnie Brae Avenue in River Forest
• September 14, 12 – 5pm – Marion Street in Oak Park
• September 25 – 9:30am – 12pm – Shriner’s Hospital in Oak Park
